Install the pols agent skill, so agents know the CLI without reading `--help`

## Usage

```text
pols skill [command]
```

## Subcommands

| Command | Description |
| --- | --- |
| [`pols skill install`](#pols-skill-install) | Write the agent skill for this version of pols (default ~/.claude/skills/pols/SKILL.md) |

## Flags

```text
-h, --help   help for skill
```

## pols skill install

Write the pols agent skill (SKILL.md in the Agent Skills format) for this
version of the CLI, replacing an earlier one. Claude Code loads it from
~/.claude/skills/pols, the default; use `--dir` for another agent's or a
project's skills directory. The skill records the version that wrote it, and
another pols version rewrites the copy in ~/.claude/skills/pols when it runs;
copies written with `--dir` are not refreshed.

### Usage

```text
pols skill install [flags]
```

### Examples

```sh
pols skill install
pols skill install --dir .claude/skills/pols
```

### Flags

```text
    --dir string   directory to write SKILL.md into (default ~/.claude/skills/pols)
-h, --help         help for install
```

The [global flags](/reference/cli/#global-flags) work with this command too.
